COMPOST TEA

Vermicompost and Tea improve the life in the soil and on plant surfaces. They add a huge diversity of beneficial organisms to their environment. Vermicompost is a pesticide-free fertilizer and will not burn seedlings, plants or roots.

Compost tea is made from vermicompost and will increase the species diversity of leaf, stem, flower, seed-surface and soil microorganisms. These microorganisms will select / eat / destroy the disease-causing and pest organisms in the soil and on the plants.

Benefits of using Tea for foliar or root applications:

  • pathogens cannot infect the plant tissues because infection sites on the plant surface are occupied by beneficial organisms.
  • food resources in the tea/compost allow beneficial microogranisms to grow and protect the plant.
  • soil structure is improved. Water retention in soil is improved and more oxygen reaches the root system and increases root depth.
  • nutritional quality of the plant is enhanced.

Vermicompost works the same miracles, but starts in the soil and works its way through the plant via the roots.
